Interns are each paired with a mentor to connect with during their time at Pentair. Interns are empowered to fully leverage the mentor opportunity to expand their summer expereince.

What Awaits You

Embark on a 12-week experience where innovation, creativity and professionalism prosper. As an intern at Pentair, you will be provided with an immersive and collaborative career development experience guided by Pentair leaders who are invested in your growth. 

Make A Difference 

Each intern will be assigned to a real-world, strategic business project that they will be immersed in for the summer. Their work will directly help Pentair achieve our mission of a more sustainable future. Interns will present their project objectives, processes, and overall results and impact to leadership at the internship program's end.

As a Pentair intern, you will participate in a formal mentorship program, one-on-one coffee chats with Pentair leaders, weekly sessions with Business Unit Presidents and much more! Network with industry leaders, enhance your skills through workshops and gain insights from cohort events to fuel your career aspirations.

Full Time Job Opportunities 

Interns that are successful will have the opportunity to receive an offer to join Pentair's full-time Leadership Development Programs upon thier graduation.

Yes, all Pentair internships are paid. Internship pay rates are included in the job descriptions.

Students that are successful in the internship program have the opportunity to receive an offer to join Pentair’s rotational full-time Leadership Development Programs upon graduation.

Relocation stipends are available depending on internship location placements. If you are eligible, your Campus Recruiter will communicate this to you during the recruitment process.

Pentair’s Leadership Development Internship Program is intended for those who will be graduating the winter or spring after their summer internship takes place. If you fall into this timeline, and meet the other basic qualifications, you are eligible to apply.

At this time, Pentair does not hire students who will need sponsorship now or in the future for our internships and Leadership Development programs.

Pentair offers internships at many sites across the US. This includes, but is not limited to, our sites in North Carolina, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and California. 

Pentair’s internship program has two start dates, the first in late May and the second in early June. The internship program lasts 12 weeks, concluding in mid-late August.

Pentair hosts a variety of interns across many functions. Internship and full-time Leadership Development Programs are avaialble in Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, IT & Cybersecurity, Marketing, Product Management, Sales and Supply Chain & Operations.
